RAWALPINDI: On November 18, Imran Khan, the founder of the Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI), and Bushra Bibi, his spouse, will be charged in the new Toshakhana case.
A Federal Investigation Agency (FIA) special court announced the couple’s indictment date and rejected the former prime minister’s and former first lady’s acquittal arguments in the case.
On November 8, the court postponed making a decision about the suspects’ pleas of acquittal.
The issue concerns the purported unlawful sale of a jewelry set that Bushra received as a gift from the Saudi crown prince during her husband Khan’s tenure as prime minister from 218 to 2022.
