After finishing third in the regular season and collecting ninety points, Adam Armstrong’s goal in the first half of the match on Sunday defeated Daniel Farke’s team 1-0.
Leeds supporters now worry that important players like Archie Gray and Crysencio Summerville would be traded, which Marathe said he could not rule out.
“We have the funds we need to do what we need, but there will need to be some trade-offs because of [profit and sustainability rules],” Marathe stated to BBC Radio Leeds.
In addition to looking at scouting options, it’s not only about outs; we also need to make trade-offs. I’m unable to speak.
We will make sure that, as we always have, we are fully compliant with P and S [profit and sustainability]. There are specific things that we must do. We’ll have to start over and figure out what bargains we need to make.”
Marathe also backed Farke, even if the head coach was unable to return to the Premier League immediately.
“Daniel has been fantastic, I’m excited about working with him next season,” Marathe stated.
“We need to follow through on our long-term commitment and plan.
