The 185th anniversary celebrations of Maharaja Ranjit Singh brought more than 450 Indian Sikh pilgrims to Pakistan, and on Monday morning they arrived at Nankana Sahib, the birthplace of Guru Nanak.
During their three days there, the yatrees will visit several holy locations and perform religious ceremonies.
The people in the area showed the Indian Sikh pilgrims a great deal of respect and warmth when they arrived. One pilgrim stated, “The love of the Pakistani people draws us here,” expressing the favorable opinions held by many. “It feels great to be here,” said another traveler, thanking the hosts for their generosity.
