On the sixth day of the World Culture Festival 2024, there was much laughter as ‘Taleem-e-Balighan 2.0’, a contemporary adaptation of Khawaja Moinuddin’s famous 1956 satire, enthralled audiences with its tongue-in-cheek humor on Tuesday at the Arts Council of Pakistan (ACP), Karachi.
Though adapted for modern audiences, the classic’s critique of society via the prism of adult education remains relevant, highlighting enduring societal problems and demonstrating how little has changed since its original release.
The show’s razor-sharp wit and unstoppable comic energy left an energized crowd in stitches. Viewers of today were moved by the humorous genius that stuck to the original.
The 60-minute play offers a timeless perspective on the follies of life by fusing humor and introspection.
