At the Peace Hill Garden in Pune, India, a Pakistani mango tree has been carefully grafted with an Indian one. It’s an interesting narrative about how it got there. And the hope is that the seeds of peace will grow just as wonderfully.
“The Pakistani chaunsa is now thoroughly planted in this land, and we will now have both chaunsa and kesar (the grafted Indian species). When it yields fruit, we will bring the mangoes to Pakistan and share them with our friends, including the Pakistani Prime Minister, one day.
The tranquil Peace Hill Garden on the banks of the Garade River is located on the outskirts of Pune, surrounded by lush landscapes and rolling hills. The sanctuary for the soul is also a hub for botanical experimentation.
