Despite being a media magnate, Oprah Winfrey gave her all as an actor on the set of The Six Triple Eight, yielding to director and old friend Tyler Perry.
Winfrey handled her job like any committed actress, Perry said during the December 3 Los Angeles premiere.
He told People, “She wanted to know she was doing a great job, and she did fantastic,” in reference to this.
Additionally, The Six Triple Eight recounts the inspirational real-life tale of the only all-Black Women’s Army Corps battalion to fight in World War II in Europe.
The battalion’s 855 women, who were tasked with sorting through 17 million unsent letters, were instrumental in raising army morale by using the phrase.
