Following the withdrawal of Trump’s initial candidate, outgoing Republican Representative Anthony D’Esposito, R-N.Y., is vying to become the next head of President-elect Donald Trump’s Drug Enforcement Agency (DEA), a source familiar with the matter told News Digital.
According to the source, D’Esposito has been “campaigning pretty hard for this.” He has been actively calling members of Trump’s inner circle to get his name out there and has been trying to rally support from local law enforcement unions for his candidacy.
