As the enclave’s food crisis worsens, Palestinian hospital officials say three Palestinians, including two children and a woman, were crushed to death Friday while waiting in line outside a bakery in central Gaza.
Osama Abu Al-Laban, the father of one of the victims, told reporters that he handed his daughter, 17, money so she could buy a loaf of bread with her sister before she was caught in the women’s line.
“Where did she disappear to? How did she enter? How did she get out? I’m not sure. It wasn’t until they took her out dead that I discovered her. “I don’t know what happened,” Al-Laban remarked.
The three victims were taken to Al Aqsa Hospital in Deir al-Balah, central Gaza, according to the hospital.
