According to immigration department officials, at least 51 deported Pakistanis have arrived in Karachi from seven different countries in the past 24 hours, and 30 passengers were removed from international flights at the port city’s Jinnah International Airport late Tuesday night because of problems with their travel documents and other irregularities, News reported.
This comes a few days after at least 30 people who were scheduled to go to other countries were removed from various planes in Karachi due to suspicion of human smuggling.
According to immigration sources, 11 of the passengers who were offloaded earlier today were going to China and Malaysia on business and visitation visas. Four other passengers were going to Oman on family visitation visas, but they were also denied boarding.
