OXFORD/LONDON: At the Oxford Pakistan Programme (OPP) fundraising dinner, the youngest Nobel laureate, Malala Yousafzai, revealed a new scholarship program to assist Palestinian students at the University of Oxford.
Malala emphasized how the Graduate Scholarship for Palestinian Students seeks to remove the financial obstacles that keep Palestinian students from taking advantage of Oxford’s prestigious educational prospects as part of the Refugee Academic Futures Program at Oxford.
She emphasized in her speech the terrible toll that the current Gaza conflict has taken on educational prospects. “More than 80% of Gaza’s schools and all universities have been damaged or destroyed,” she said.
She emphasized that, among the many significant messages we can send out to show our support for Palestinian youth, this scholarship is just one of many.
