The rapper and music entrepreneur, better known as P Diddy and Puff Daddy, is facing accusations of sexual misconduct from 120 additional accusers, 25 of whom were minors at the time of the alleged offenses. He has pleaded not guilty to three felony counts, including sex trafficking.
News has received a statement that Combs’s mother Janice Smalls Combs sent through her lawyer, Natlie G. Figgers.
“It is devastating to witness my son being evaluated based on a false narrative rather than the truth,” stated Ms. Combs.
She went added, “It hurts too much to express to watch what feels like a public lynching of my son before he’s had a chance to prove his innocence.”
She continued by implying that he might not have told the whole truth about some things, bringing up the fact that he refuted accusations of violence against his ex-girlfriend, R&B singer Cassie, and that they settled her lawsuit out of court months before releasing security video from a hotel that showed Combs punching, kicking, and throwing her to the ground.
