The youth of North Waziristan participated in a football competition that the Pakistan Army effectively ran, demonstrating the skills and zeal of the local players.
The competition, which attracted a lot of interest from local football fans as well as young people, featured 24 teams in all.
The tournament, which opened on October 1 as a part of the Waziristan Sports Festival, was designed to give young people a platform to showcase their abilities through extracurricular activities. Together with encouraging sportsmanship and teamwork, the event also helped participants and viewers feel more connected to one another.
Local leaders, especially the younger generation, conveyed their appreciation to the Pakistan Army for planning the celebration and realizing its beneficial effects on the neighborhood.
