KARACHI: Due to ongoing renovations, spectators will not be permitted inside Karachi’s National Stadium during Pakistan’s second Test match against Bangladesh, the Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB) announced on Wednesday.
“We are aware of the significant impact our passionate fans have on cricket, as they inspire and motivate our players. But after carefully weighing all of our alternatives, we’ve decided that keeping the match spectator-free is the safest course of action,” the PCB said in a statement.
August 30 to September 3 in Karachi is when the two nations will play their second Test match.
According to the board, the choice was made because the facility is now undergoing upgrades in preparation for the Champions Trophy in 2025.
