On the fifteenth anniversary of his martyrdom, Lieutenant Mir Jahangir Khan Mari was honored by representatives of the Frontier Corps Balochistan and the Pakistan Army. On July 10, 2009, Lt. Marri, a Pakistani national, was killed in action in the Bajaur valleys while battling militants.
Along with the martyr’s family, Army and FC Balochistan members lay floral wreaths and said prayers at Lt. Mari’s tomb in remembrance of his sacrifice. The celebration brought attention to the tremendous costs that Balochistani soldiers bear in defending Pakistan.
