Pakistan has called for an immediate de-escalation of hostilities and peaceful resolution of disputes, expressing grave worry over the rising tensions in the Middle East.
Israel’s recent military actions in Gaza and Lebanon have drawn attention from the Foreign Office (FO), which has labeled them as violations of both international law and the United Nations Charter.
International norms broken
FO spokeswoman Mumtaz Zahra Baloch denounced Israel’s provocative measures in a statement released on Tuesday, saying that they had made the humanitarian catastrophe in the region worse. “Innocent civilians’ suffering has increased as a result of recent Israeli attacks in Gaza and Lebanon,” the speaker claimed.
The spokesperson emphasized that everyone concerned needs to take a step back and try to ease tensions.
The spokeswoman said, “Israel’s actions in recent months have flagrantly violated international laws and the UN Charter.”
