MULTAN: Pakistan recovered to score 328/4 on Monday at the Multan Cricket Stadium to round up the first day of the Pakistan vs. England Test.
Shan Masood, who led his team from the front with a century on the opening day, was instrumental in Pakistan’s comeback.
The team, having won the toss and chosen to bat first, suffered an early setback when Saim Ayub, the opening batsman, was caught behind the wicket and ended up as Gus Atkinson’s victim with just four runs scored.
But Masood and Abdullah Shafique, the opener, put up a 114-run partnership that helped the national team reach 122-1 at lunch.
With Saud Shakeel (35) and Naseem Shah (0) at the wicket, the match concluded at 328/4.
