For the years 2024–2029, the Pakistani government has unveiled a comprehensive five-year privatization plan that calls for the three-phase privatization of 24 institutions.
The Ministry of Privatization outlined and the federal cabinet accepted this strategy.
Ten institutions will be privatized in the first phase, which is scheduled to happen within the next year.
Pakistan International Airlines (PIA), the Roosevelt Hotel in New York, the Agricultural Development Bank, First Women Bank, and the House Building Finance Corporation are important organizations in this stage.
In addition, a number of power distribution firms in Islamabad, Faisalabad, and Gujranwala, as well as the Pakistan Engineering Company and Sindh Engineering Limited, are scheduled to be privatized.
