As part of the government’s economic recovery efforts, Pakistani law enforcement agencies have stepped up their anti-smuggling efforts throughout the nation, recovering significant amounts of illegal products.
Authorities conducted statewide operations between October 13 and October 22 and seized 7,322 cigarette sticks, 71.50 metric tons of flour, 184 textile pieces, 0.05 metric tons of sugar, and 0.16 million liters of Iranian oil.
With the seizure of 13,088.75 metric tons of fertilizer, 3,684.69 metric tons of flour, 35,129.1 metric tons of sugar, 4,379,997 cigarette sticks, 154,744 textile pieces, and 17.417 million gallons of Iranian oil, the total seizures since September 1, 2023, have been more substantial.
