According to a Global Terrorism Index 2025 report, Pakistan is still plagued by terrorism, ranking as the second most impacted nation in the world in 2024.
An startling 45% spike in terrorism-related deaths occurred in Pakistan, which was previously ranked fourth. The number of deaths increased from 748 in 2023 to 1,081 in 2024, one of the sharpest increases in the world.
