Pakistan mobile phone imports falls in first half of FY2024-25

The Pakistan Bureau of Statistics (PBS) reports that the country imported $733.425 million worth of mobile phones from July to December 2024, down from $792.581 million during the same period last year; in December 2024, imports fell by 7.27% compared to the same month last year, with imports totaling $163.257 million and exports for December 2023 totaling $176.063 million. Pakistan saw a significant increase in mobile phone imports during the fiscal year 2023-24, reaching $1.898 billion, a 233% increase in comparison to the previous fiscal year 2022-23.
