Under the shadow of the ongoing Gaza war, which has taken thousands of innocent Palestinian lives, Pakistanis celebrated the holy holiday of Eid ul Adha on Monday.
Since October 7, Israel’s military assault on Gaza has resulted in at least 37,337 Palestinian deaths and 85,299 injuries, according to the Gaza Health Ministry. Thousands more deaths are thought to be hidden beneath the debris.
After more than eight months of combat, a solution to end the conflict still seems far off, despite mounting international pressure for one.
Pakistan’s top leaders sought remedy for their concerns and expressed solidarity with the people of illegally held Jammu and Kashmir and the war-torn nation in their Eid messages.
Muslims offered animal sacrifices, such as goats, cows, camels, etc., to remember Prophet Ibrahim (AS), in addition to praying for their fellow countrymen in the Gulf.
With thousands of police officers stationed across, security has also been enhanced to guarantee that there are no unexpected incidents during the holy celebration.
“Take care of the unfortunate.”
On this auspicious day of Eid ul Adha, Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif sent sincere greetings to the people of Pakistan and all Muslims worldwide.
He stated in a message that the celebration honors Prophet Ibrahim’s (AS) unshakeable dedication and preparedness to sacrifice his beloved son Prophet Ismail (AS) at Allah’s direction.
