Within weeks of announcing a rate hike, Pakistan Railways has announced a reduction in ticket prices for all passenger train categories nationwide.
The lower rates, which were announced to make public rail travel more inexpensive and accessible, will go into effect on August 3.
Rs 150A announcement states that there has been a reduction of Rs50 on economy class tickets and Rs100 to Rs150 on AC class tickets.
