On September 18, 1965, the eighteenth day of the war, Pakistan declared significant military victories over India. Pakistani authorities claimed that the enemy had lost a great deal, having destroyed 106 warplanes and 453 tanks in addition to capturing 18 tanks.
In the Sialkot and Jammu sectors, Pakistani forces asserted that they kept up pressure on Indian troops, gaining more territory and causing significant material losses. Pakistan claimed to have destroyed seven Indian tanks and captured ten Indian soldiers near the Wagah border in the Attari region.
Four Indian strikes were reportedly repulsed by Pakistani artillery in Khemkaran. Additionally, the Pakistani military declared victory in Rajasthan, Akhnoor, and Fazilka. Pakistan said that three Indian soldiers were killed in an attack on an Indian battalion in the Rajouri area.
