Pakistan has risen 14 spots to take the 136th spot in the E-Government Development Index (EGDI), marking a notable improvement in the most recent United Nations e-Governance rating.
Prior to 2022, the nation was ranked 150, which indicates significant advancements in its e-governance capacities.
Pakistan is now listed among the top nations in the EGDI for the first time.
Apart from the general progress, Pakistan has also made progress, moving up to the 88th spot in the E-Participation Index.
In this measure, the nation was placed 106th just two years ago, but its e-participation value has since grown from 0.36 to 0.49.
Shaza Fatima, the Minister of State, emphasized the vital role that the Ministry plays in e-government infrastructure strengthening and praised the substantial efforts made by the Prime Minister.
