ISLAMABAD: Plans to improve trade and transit cooperation and hold high-level discussions to fortify bilateral ties were announced by the Foreign Office on Monday.
The proclamation is the first formal statement made after Pakistan’s diplomatic relations with Afghanistan have resumed.
This decision was made during a meeting at the Foreign Office where important authorities talked about relations with Afghanistan. The meeting was presided over by Senator Muhammad Ishaq Dar, the Deputy Prime Minister and Foreign Minister.
“Pakistan’s Special Representative on Afghanistan, Ambassador Muhammad Sadiq, provided a detailed briefing on his recent visit to Kabul, highlighting key engagements with Afghan authorities and discussions on bilateral cooperation,” stated the statement.
