At the crease were Ben Duckett and Joe Root; Duckett scored a quick 34 off 28 balls, while Root gave steadiness with 41 off 66 deliveries. England’s 5.13 run rate showed that they wanted to score fast without giving up too much ground. Leg-spinner Abrar Ahmed has bowled nine overs and is yet to claim a wicket; Naseem Shah has claimed one wicket in that time.
