ISLAMABAD: Ahead of the Shanghai Cooperation Organization (SCO) summit, Chinese Prime Minister Li Qiang arrived in Rawalpindi on Monday to begin a four-day visit to Pakistan. During his visit, he will talk with Pakistani officials about a number of issues of shared interest.
According to a statement issued by the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, the Chinese dignitary is in Pakistan from October 14–17 at the invitation of Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif.
“As soon as I stepped off the plane, I was greeted with the warm hospitality of the Pakistani side and impressed by the profound brotherly friendship between our peoples,” the premier said in a statement following his arrival.
