At Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif’s request, Malaysian Prime Minister Anwar Ibrahim traveled to Pakistan on Wednesday for a three-day visit.
Muhammad Shahbaz Sharif, the prime minister, greeted the team headed by his Malaysian counterpart. Members of the federal government as well as deputy prime minister Ishaq Dar attended the reception.
The Malaysian PM received a 21-gun salute and flowers from kids dressed in traditional attire.
He was accompanied on the visit by a “high-level” entourage made up of senior officials, deputy ministers, and ministers.
“Prime Minister Muhammad Shehbaz Sharif and Prime Minister Anwar Ibrahim will meet.” The two parties will talk on a broad agenda item to further enhance relations between Pakistan and Malaysia in several areas such as commerce, connectivity, energy, agriculture, etc.
