On Friday, Pakistan’s Defense Minister Khawaja Asif declared that terrorism is being transferred from Afghanistan to Pakistan.
He stressed Pakistan’s right to defend its people and territory when speaking to the National Assembly, saying, “If terrorism continues to emanate from Afghanistan, we will respond accordingly.”
He made it clear that Pakistan would not put up with terrorism being transferred onto its territory, even though efforts to improve relations with Afghanistan were desirable.
The minister emphasized the value of having healthy relations with Afghanistan, citing his trip to Kabul during which he declared his desire for constructive bilateral ties. He emphasized that handling Afghanistan should not be politicized and that security and stability should be the main priorities.Khawaja Asif reaffirmed Pakistan’s dedication to safeguarding its citizens and the nation from outside threats. He asked all political parties to back the government’s efforts in combating terrorism and demanded a unified front against the terrorist organization.
