KARACHI: Rabia Gharib and Zainab Rizwan secured podium places in the women’s masters road race events, giving Pakistan two additional medals at the Asian Road Cycling Championships in Thailand.
After finishing the 42.8-kilometer race in 1 hour, 18 minutes, and 21 seconds, Rabia Gharib took home the gold in the 50+ age group. She qualified for the top honor because she was the only competitor in her age group to complete the event.

After placing third in her category’s individual time trial (ITT), this was Zainab’s second bronze of the championships.
