KARACHI: According to sources on Tuesday, Pakistan has withdrew from the AFC Women’s Futsal Asian Cup qualifying stages that are set for next month because of financial difficulties.
Pakistan was to play in the Group B matches, which were scheduled to take place in Indonesia. However, after not being able to obtain the required money, the Pakistan Football Federation (PFF) made the decision to withdraw from the event.
Starting on January 15, 2025, Pakistan was slated to play against the hosts, India, Kyrgyzstan, and Hong Kong. They are no longer included in the official draw, though.
The Pakistan Women’s Futsal team’s participation in the AFC Women’s Futsal Asian Cup 2025 was already declared by the PFF in June 2024.
This would have been the Pakistan women’s team’s first-ever elite futsal tournament.
