As a result of a decline in global rates, Pakistani gold prices dropped on Thursday after rising for seven straight sessions.
The price of gold per tola dropped by Rs2,300 on the local market, to Rs283,100.
According to the All-Pakistan Gems and Jewellers Sarafa Association (APGJSA), the price of 10 grams of gold also decreased by Rs1,971, making it sell for Rs242,713.
Gold prices increased by Rs2,000 on Wednesday, hitting a record high of Rs285,400.
On Thursday, the price of gold fell globally as well. It was down $23 for the day at $2,734 per ounce (with a $20 premium), according to APGJSA.
The price of silver stayed at Rs3,350 per tola.
