On April 25, renowned Pakistani hunter Syed Murtaza Zaidi of Islamabad obtained a license and went ibex hunting at Gulkin, a village close to Passu in the Hunza Valley.
Zaidi brought down a huge ibex in the Khunjerav Villagers Organization (KVO) Conservancy in Gojal Hunza in February. The two prizes were more than fifty inches.
It is significant to remember that Zaidi hunted 46-inch-horned Astore Markhor in the Dashkin-Mushkin-Tarbuling (DMT) conservation area in Astore in 2021. Under the trophy hunting program, Zaidi is the first hunter from Pakistan to hunt Astore Markhor.
