On Monday, the federal government announced the public and voluntary holiday schedule for 2025, which includes days of national importance, Muslim and minority festivals, and more.
The Cabinet Division released a statement at the end of 2024 that included the full list of holidays that will be observed in 2019.
According to the statement, the division will publish a separate notification for Muslim festivals, and the dates of holidays will be determined by the moon’s appearance and based on the dates that are predicted.
Therefore, without the head of the relevant organization’s prior consent, no government employee may be given an optional holiday.
