Pakistan’s ambassador to Turkmenistan, KK Ahsan Wagan, was deported from Los Angeles by the United States in a rare and unusual diplomatic incident, according to diplomatic sources on Monday.
A top Foreign Ministry official confirmed to news that Ambassador KK Wagan was deported from the United States due to an immigration issue.
According to sources, Ambassador Wagan, who has a valid US visa and all required travel documentation, was halted by US immigration officials when he arrived in Los Angeles for a personal visit.
Concerns regarding diplomatic procedure and the decision’s nature were raised when the officials had him return to his final port of departure.
