In keeping with growing international rates, Pakistan’s gold prices reached an all-time high on Wednesday, jumping Rs 3,800 per tola to Rs 308,000.
The steep increase comes after a recent increasing trend that reflected changes in the world economy.
In addition, the price of 10-gram gold increased significantly by Rs 3,258 to Rs 264,060, according to the All Pakistan Gems and Jewellers Sarafa Association (APGJSA).
The most recent hike follows Tuesday’s Rs 1,000 increase in gold prices, which now stand at Rs 304,200 a tola.
Gold prices also saw a significant increase on the global market. According to APGJSA, the price of gold increased by $34 to $2,944 per ounce (with a $20 premium).
