Pakistan’s gold prices rose sharply on Thursday, matching the global market’s upward trend.
The All-Pakistan Gems and Jewellers Sarafa Association (APGJSA) reports that the current rate for gold per tola is Rs254,900, an increase of Rs1,400.
In a same vein, the cost of ten grams of gold increased by Rs1,201 to Rs218,536. This hike comes after a surge of Rs1,200 in the price of gold per tola on Wednesday.
Thursday saw improvements in the global gold market as well, with the price per ounce rising by $17 to $2,432, with a $20 premium, according to the APGJSA.
In contrast, there was no change in the price of silver in the local market, which stayed at Rs2,900 per tola.
