24-karat gold was sold for Rs275,700 per tola on Monday as opposed to Rs275,500 on the previous trading day, a Rs200 increase in price per tola.
According to the All Sindh Sarafa Jewellers Association, the cost of 10 grams of 24-karat gold grew by Rs171 to Rs236,368 from Rs236,197, while the cost of 10 kilos of 22-karat gold increased to Rs216,671 from Rs216,514.
The price of 10-gram and tola silver stayed at Rs2,614.88, and Rs3,050, respectively.
According to the association, the price of gold on the global market went up $3, to $2,656 from $2,653.
