In the local market, the value of the precious metal surged by Rs1,900 per tola, ultimately closing at Rs241,300. The 10-gram gold saw a notable rise as well, rising by Rs1,629 to Rs206,876.
As per the All Pakistan Gems and Jewellers Sarafa Association (APGJSA), there was a notable increase in the international gold rate of $15 to $2,307 per ounce, with a $20 premium.
The steady prices on Monday, when the price of gold in Pakistan per tola stayed at Rs239,400, have markedly varied from this upward trend.
Silver prices have stayed constant at Rs 2,750 a tola while gold prices have been erratic. It’s important to remember that in the local market, gold prices reached an all-time high of Rs252,200 per tola as recently as April.
