VEHARI: On Tuesday, Zia Rasheed, the tallest man in Pakistan, passed away at the age of 30 in Vehari following a protracted illness.
His funeral prayer drew a sizable crowd, including well-known social and political figures.
He was the tallest guy in Pakistan at the age of fifteen. But since he first experienced knee discomfort at the age of 20, he had been afflicted with a knee-related illness for a long time.
According to a report by News, he has not been able to receive medical treatment since then, and neither has the government taken care of him. His condition worsened over time.
He suffered from severe agony after falling down stairs last year, and today, after fighting the illness, he passed away.
In December 2018, Rasheed told APP that he was taking taekwondo classes to improve his physical condition and self-defense.
He had declared himself to be the second tallest man in the world, at eight feet and three inches tall.
Rasheed had stated that he had completed his matriculation and that he wanted to continue his schooling but was having trouble getting money and finding a place to live.
