QUETTA: On Monday, unknown armed individuals opened fire on Panjgur Deputy Commissioner (DC) Zakir Baloch on the National Highway close to the Khada-Kucha neighborhood of Mastung District.
According to Levies sources, Baloch was traveling from Panjgur to Quetta in a car with District Chairman Malik Jan and his buddy Ahmed Jan when the armed attackers opened fire on them close to the Kand Umrani region. They were able to flee the scene.
The DC and his friends were shot as a consequence. Rescue officials were alerted and raced to the site, moving the victims to a nearby hospital. During the first stages of his therapy, the DC passed away from his wounds.
