Nigerian criminals have been directly urged by the parents of a British youngster who committed suicide after being the victim of sextortion to cease “terrorizing” the weak.
Last year, Dunblane resident Murray Dowey took his own life at the age of 16.
It is believed that he was blackmailed after being duped by crooks in West Africa into sharing private photos of himself.
Murray’s parents also criticized social media firms for failing to take adequate precautions for youth, claiming that they have “blood on their hands.”
Victims of sextortion frequently receive a nude photo or video and are then requested to give one of their own in exchange.
