The SNP has also written to the Parliamentary Commissioner for Standards and the independent public body, requesting that the “substantial and serious” claims be looked seriously.
It follows Mr. Ross’s announcement on Monday that he will to resign as leader of the Scottish Conservatives after the election on July 4.
He resigned in response to allegations that he had utilized MP funds for travel while serving as a football linesman, as well as criticism regarding David Duguid’s deselection as a general election candidate.
If Mr. Ross is elected to the Westminster seat for Aberdeenshire North and Moray East, he will also resign as an MSP.
Although Mr. Ross said he is “very comfortable” with the statements he has made, he admitted that “any breaking of the rules with expenses is a serious breach”.
“I am very confident that the claims I have made have been in line with my duties as a Member of Parliament and traveling to and from Westminster,” Mr. Ross stated in an interview with News on Tuesday.
