The Pakistan Meteorological Department (PMD) has predicted rain and precipitation in various regions of the country starting on December 7, which is expected to significantly exacerbate the country’s ongoing cold wave.
In order to help individuals living in the smog-stricken areas, the weather department forecasted rain and snowfall over the hills in the country’s upper regions due to the cold wave conditions that plagued most of the country from December 8 to 14.
It also predicts that the cold wave conditions would cause a considerable reduction in daytime and nighttime temperatures.
In Punjab, Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, Gilgit-Baltistan, and Kashmir, daytime temperatures are predicted to fall 4–6 degrees Celsius below average, while in other regions, they will dip 5–7 degrees Celsius below average.
