As the continuing heatwave tightens its hold over the province, temperatures in Karachi and several other Sindhi cities sizzled on Saturday, beyond normal levels.
Moenjodaro was named the hottest spot in the nation on Friday, with a maximum temperature of 51°C.
Today, the temperature in Karachi, Dadu, Jacobabad, and other Sindhi cities soared several degrees over average.
According to data released by the Pakistan Meteorological Department (PMD), the port city recorded 37°C, which is more than two degrees warmer than the average summertime temperature.
Dadu and Moenjodaro recorded the highest temperatures in the province, reaching as high as 49.5°C, which is four and five degrees higher than average, respectively.
