In almost the course of two decades, Labour peer Lord Alli has donated almost £500,000 to the party.
Ellie Reeves, a minister in the Cabinet Office, was questioned this morning on the news if it was appropriate to overlook Lord Alli’s lack of official government employment.

She stated that the peer was only granted access to Downing Street “for a few weeks” and that all “proper processes” were adhered to.

questioned if it was appropriate for someone who made significant financial donations to have access to it.

A person with a political job history or a history of donations is not prohibited from participating in politics.
