According to specifics, a representative for the Federal Investigation Agency (FIA) stated that Usman Ali, a passenger heading to Azerbaijan, was detained for having a forged Greece Residence Card.

When the detained person, identified as Zeeshan Ahmed, attempted to board flight EK601, which was headed for Iran, he was stopped for a baggage inspection. It was then that two forged and tampered passports bearing the names of Waqas Pervez (LJ3991984) and Zeeshan Ahmed (RM1173341) were found.
