Mohsin Naqvi, the chairman of the Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB) and the interior minister, has asked supporters to desist from disparaging the national team, highlighting the importance of unflinching support regardless of the team’s outcome.
Naqvi said these things at a special event honoring the workers who renovated Karachi’s National Stadium.
In recognition of their commitment and diligence in finishing the stadium’s renovation, more than 700 workers received a red carpet welcome and a special supper.
The PCB chairman personally met with the workers and offered them complimentary tickets to witness the Pakistan vs. South Africa game as a genuine gesture.
