The National Identity Card Act of 2002 has been amended by the federal government to include special identification cards for organ donors and people with impairments. “This initiative aims to improve accessibility and identification for people with disabilities,” said a National Database and Registration Authority (NADRA) official.
Lifetime identity cards with a wheelchair insignia will be given to disabled people. In order to make identification easier, this mark will also be applied to the cards of impaired children, whether they have a permanent or temporary card.
A unique lifetime card, including a wheelchair emblem and a symbol representing organ donation, will also be given to organ donors. Organ donation will require registration with the appropriate organizations.
The NADRA representative affirmed that these changes will be made.
