RAWALPINDI: Former Pakistan captain Sarfaraz Ahmed stated Monday that it will be his “personal decision” whether or not to retire from international cricket, following rumors that his earlier statement had sparked such a decision.
The seasoned wicketkeeper batsman, who is coaching the Dolphins under Faheem Ashraf in the current Champions T20 Cup, said earlier that “there is nothing left to say” about his future as a player.
“Look, in terms of my professional life. I don’t think I have anything to say. There is nothing left. Sarfaraz had stated, “I know what you’re waiting for, and it will happen soon.”
The 37-year-old emphasized in an exclusive interview with News that he continues to play regardless of whether he is selected for the national squad.
